Bereavement officers provide helpful guides for thinking about end-of-life decisions.
Knowing that a loved one is in the advanced stages of a terminal illness can feel overwhelming and extra emotional. Adjusting to the changes that come after can be challenging. Our grief counselors and chaplains can act as strong guides in such difficult times.
Their responsibilities include:
- Offer grief and bereavement counseling before to and after the patient’s death
- Maintain regular contact with the family for up to 13 months after the death of the patient
