We rely on kind-hearted people to provide invaluable added support to our entire hospice program.
Volunteers are part of a patient’s care team and work directly with patients and families. Examples include reading to the patient, assisting with a hobby, listening, running errands, or grocery shopping. They make home visits to offer companionship for patients and relief for caregivers.
Their roles include:
- Provide direct and indirect care to give peace and comfort to patients and families
- Match with the needs of the patient and family to provide support
